Washington Township is home to many recreational activities. Franke Park , Buckner Park, Johnny Appleseed Park and Solomon Farm Park are a few of the wonderful parks that the Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation manage. The Pufferbelly Trail also is part of Washington Township and expanding rapidly and the head of the trail is in Washington Township.
Washington Township is also home to the Wallen Complex, the premier baseball organization in the area. It is a busy complex and home to many young athletes. From early spring to fall, there are many leagues who use the complex and many of its amenities.
