CONNECT Allen County: Your One Stop Shop For Assistance
CONNECT Allen County is a “One-Stop Shop” center that helps individuals in need get the resources and support that they need. Many different agencies have an office in the Connect Allen County Facility and can help you with your emotional and physical needs. When you come into Allen County Connect, you will be met by a staff or “connector” whose first priority is helping you navigate systems and “connect” you to an agency to help you.
The “Connectors” goals are to.
- Raise awareness of, and provide access to, resources in Allen County
- Identify family and individual needs, and work together to develop solution
- Decrease wait times for families and organizations to access service
There are multiple providers in one location, and more service options available, and a comprehensive approach to addressing your needs. Allen County Connect hopes to empower you to make the right service choices for you or your family by walking with you through the processes
CONNECT Allen County was created by Our Children Our Future, the Allen County System of Care, and was made possible in part by The Lutheran

Wellspring On Wheels
Wellspring on Wheels (WOW) is our way of mobilizing the mission. We’re blessed to have a vehicle that enables us to take our services to food insecure neighborhoods throughout Allen County. Wellspring continues to serve people where they’re at and what better way to do that then to go to them.

At its inception, the main purpose was providing summer programs for youth who lived in Fort Wayne’s West Central neighborhood. Pastors Bill Moody of First Presbyterian and Arnold Pierson of Trinity English Lutheran played key roles in the formation of the program. Initially, the agency was called West Central Neighborhood Summer Program but was later changed to West Central Neighborhood Committee. In 1989, members of the board voted to change the name to West Central Neighborhood Ministry. In June 2004, the name was changed to Wellspring. One reason for the modification was that the organization was serving a much broader population base than just the West Central area. From the early years, the organization quickly expanded to offer a variety of programs focusing on food and clothing insecurity, and the educational, social, physical and recreational needs of at-risk individuals. In 2020, Wellspring directly impacted the lives of over 20,000 clients throughout Allen County – the most ever in this organization’s history.
